Getting back on track

July 6, 2010

I’ve been a little disheveled since Independence Day weekend so here are some pictures that my genius photographer friend Sabah took until I can get back together enough to write a post about our 5k, a Faustian bargain I made with my mom, Ambien for babies, the gulags, and/or gelato. Sabs, you’re working on setting up an online store so I can buy these for my mansion on Mulholland Drive, right? Click to enjoy in full-size glory.

Cherry Blossoms

April 5, 2010

Mr. B and I are stressed out right now, for a multitude of reasons.   The amount of decisions we’ve had to make recently are overwhelming us and they’re something I’ve thought about every day, for at least the past six months.  When we’re done, I’m sure I’ll feel 10 lbs lighter. So it would make sense that she would take the sunniest, warmest photos.  She recently moved to Florida where she took these pictures of a sunset at a fancy golf course. What’s crazy is that she doesn’t have a professional SLR camera. Given that I am in the Frigid North, they warmed my heart immediately.  Hopefully you like them, too.  Enjoy. (You can click ...

Pictures from Bangladesh

August 10, 2009

I have a friend named Shehzeen who is Bangladeshi, who I met through another Bangladeshi friend. Because, once you have one Bangladeshi friend,  you have at least five or six. Since I’ve become friends with Bangladeshis, my knowledge about the country has gone from zero to sixty in three seconds.  I’m sure their knowledge of drunk Yeltsin has also been enriched.   One of the things I didn’t know, for example, is that Bangladesh has about 150 million people, the same ...
