A few brief thoughts today: shuttle launches, the Olympics, and why Russians are racist

February 15, 2010

1. Shuttle Launch I stalk/read Rubinary.com pretty frequently, because it’s cool to see how other Russian-speaking couples live and also blog about it. I always tell Mr. B that he should co-blog with me, but he always tells me that, if we’re going to blog together, he’ll just blog about his normal topics.  So I back down for the sake of your sanity.   Also, Mr. Rubinary has the same name as Mr. B.  Also, they take awesome photographs of ...

Millions of babies, the Holocaust, and gender segregation. It’s the weekend!

On another note, did you know Facebook stole your soul? Happy Friday!

Riding a horse is like blogging, except you can’t become a parapalegic if you blog

January 18, 2010

This Saturday, when the weather decided to become more clement (see chart of weather clement-ness below,) Mr. B and I went horseback riding in Virginia.  My friend Christina is an avid rider and in the process of purchasing a horse, and she wanted to go see it this weekend, so I asked if we could tag along. We’d been riding before, once in the Golan Heights at Vered HaGalil and once in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and we liked it a ...
