It’s true that comedy writers usually need to be miserable to produce good content.  Unfortunately, I had a very excellent birthday weekend filled with friends, family, love, happiness, and those little tarts that have fruit on them, so I’m all out of ideas. So we have some Jewish holidays coming up. More specifically, the New Year.  Inspired by this post, I am listing all my wrongs from the past year in hopes that the internets will forgive me. I have watched Jersey Shore, on more than one occasion, and have rejoiced when Ronnie cheats on Sammi, who is too stupid to break up with him. Tisha B’Are You Serious? You’re fasting again?

This year, as last year and at least three years before that, I’m fasting for Tisha B’Av because I consider it more of a national Jewish holiday than a religious fast like Yom Kipur, and I think it’s a shame that more secular Jews don’t participate in a day completely devoted to feeling depressed about the state of our people.  (When I tried guilting Mr. B into fasting this year, he said he would “try to eat less.”) IThe more I ...
