How’s my slogging going? It’s been a month since that post.
During that month, I ran 24 miles, some of it before dawn.
(and got Mr. B to start running with me).

Passed on French fries, falafel, ice cream, chocolate bars, chicken nuggets, sunflower seeds, and panini. And Nutella.
Started measuring food.
Started eating celery, cauliflower, carrots, hummus, baked chicken, brown rice, brownies with yogurt instead of vegetable oil and eggs.

Started getting up at 7 in the morning on Saturdays to go to the gym.
Started taking pictures of chocolate at the store instead of bringing it home.
And I gave up Facebook time to connect posterior to chair and write.
Even though at least three people have already written my book.
As of today, I’ve lost ten pounds. And I’ve written 40,223 words. I’m halfway there with both things.
So, in both ways, the slog is working.
Slowly.

All I can say is “Wow, your power of will is awesome!” Your running inspires me. I haven’t run more than a couple of feet (catching the bus) in almost a year. I miss it. Since having a kid, I’ve been forced to give up dairy completely because of R.’s sensitivity, and every time I pass a cheese counter or see menu items that feature cheese, I want to cry. I’m now having to give up soy, too, which is basically in everything. So we’ll see how that goes.
I can totally understand not having time/energy to exercise post-baby. OMG, no soy either? You are much stronger than me.
