Orthodox Russian Christmas is today because of the Gregorian calendar.  Or the Julian calendar.  I can’t remember.  Whichever one makes us Russians celebrate Stariy Noviy God (Old New Year) on January 13th with foolish glee.  So imagine how excited I was to receive this personal greeting from Dmitriy Medvedev. Book Review: The Visual Miscellaneum
