I’ve been doing a little bit of learning of Photoshop lately because I find that it relaxes me after work and it’s always a valuable skill to learn. So, today, I decided to make a conceptual cover for The Master and Margarita, one of my favorite books as practice. What say you? Are there any books that you particularly enjoy that you’d love to see a different cover for? Here’s some really cool book covers I’ve been looking at.

What an interesting idea. I see the original cover is by artist Kazimir Malevich.
Keep going with the Photoshop. You might want to try the blur tool on the edges of the hat.
Ooo Good hint! I knew it was ragged but didn’t know how to fix it. Thanks for the suggestion.
The pic doesn’t come up.
sadness … love playing with Photoshop!
I don’t get why the hat?
Representation of Soviet bureaucracy?
FYI, picture isn’t showing in IE8 -shows fine in Firefox.
Sorry everyone using IE…the picture should work now. Apparently IE works by mysterious laws of nature, and also is not compatible with CMYK.
